Service Terms & Conditions (Pest Control Services)
These Service Terms & Conditions apply to all pest control services provided by The Professionals Pest Controllers Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking, requesting, or allowing us to carry out services at a property, you (“the Client”) agree to these Service Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings & Access
The Client must provide safe, clear, and reasonable access to all areas where services are to be carried out, including access to yards, subfloors, roof voids, garages, and internal areas (where applicable). If access is restricted or unsafe, we may be unable to complete the service and a call-out or rescheduling fee may apply.
2. Site Conditions & Preparation
The Client is responsible for ensuring the service area is reasonably prepared prior to our arrival. This includes securing pets, clearing obstructions, and advising us of any hazards or special site conditions (e.g. tight access, fragile surfaces, unstable ground, electrical hazards).
3. Client Property, Fragile Items & Valuables
The Client is responsible for identifying, securing, and protecting all fragile, valuable, or high-value items at the premises, including (but not limited to) artwork, sculptures, antiques, glass items, decorative features, and unsecured personal property.
Unless expressly agreed in writing prior to commencement of works, we do not accept responsibility for damage to unsecured, unstable, or unidentified items within or near the service area, to the extent permitted by law.
4. Artwork, Sculptures & High-Value Items
The Client must notify us before work commences if there are any artworks, sculptures, antiques, or items of significant monetary or sentimental value located within or near areas where services will be performed. The Client must ensure such items are secured or relocated away from the service area prior to commencement, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
5. Photographs & Records
We may take photographs of the service area before and/or after works for job documentation, safety, quality assurance, or insurance purposes.
6. Service Outcomes
Pest control outcomes can be affected by factors beyond our control, including building conditions, sanitation, weather, neighbouring infestations, and the extent of pest activity. Where required, follow-up treatments may be recommended.
7. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be as agreed at the time of booking or invoicing. Overdue invoices may incur administration costs and/or interest as permitted by law.
8. Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide as much notice as possible. A late cancellation or missed appointment may incur a fee.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for loss or damage arising in connection with the services is limited to the cost of supplying the services again or the payment of the cost of having the services supplied again, as determined by us.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (including loss of profit), to the extent permitted by law.
10. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Service Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights, or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Governing Law
These Service Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales and the Commonwealth of Australia.
